　　The researchers found 1.12 g lysine/MJ gross energy to be required, estimating the requirement at the lower limit of the 95% confidence interval for crude protein accretion of 42.9 g/day.

 

　　The scientists, attached to North Carolina State University, arrived at this amount by randomly allotting neonatal pigs, 1-2 days old (about 1.63 kg), to ten isocaloric diets varying in lysine concentration from 0.76 to 1.62 g lysine/MJ gross energy (GE).

     北卡羅萊納州立大學的科學家為了證實這個結(jié)論，采用了隨機分配實驗，所使用的新生仔豬為1-2天齡（大約為1.63kg），分配到10個等熱量的日糧中，而這些日糧的賴氨酸濃度不同，范圍為0.76-1.62賴氨酸/MJ總能。

 

　　Diets were formulated using whey protein concentrate and casein as protein sources and contained similar balance of indispensable amino acids.
